We are a family breeding of Shiba Inu. As a responsible breeder, we've signed the
Tipaw Ethical Charter and we take great pride in the health of our dogs and puppies by meeting specific criteria to ensure their well-being.
Welcome to a place driven by passion. What started over 35 years ago as a hobby has grown into a professional establishment where the Shiba Inu takes center stage. We are a fully government-recognized organization. We work exclusively with dogs that possess all official, internationally recognized pedigree papers and proper registrations.
Where do the puppies grow up before being adopted?
An optimal start through home-based upbringing
The first eight weeks are crucial in shaping a dog’s character. This is why we consciously choose to raise our puppies within our home. During the first few weeks, the pups stay safely in the whelping box in our living area, later gaining more space to explore both the living room and our garden.
Through this approach, they are playfully exposed to all kinds of stimuli (sounds, scents, other dogs, visitors). We also begin potty training and crate training at an early stage. In doing so, we lay the foundation for a stable, confident, and social dog that can transition to your family life effortlessly.
Housing for the dogs?
We have consciously chosen to keep our kennel small-scale and home-based. Our dogs and puppies live inside our home and have free access to our secure garden.
Why is this so important? Because socialization doesn't happen in a kennel environment. Because our dogs are around us 24/7, we get to know their individual characters inside and out. For the puppies, this means they become accustomed to human touch, voices, and the rhythm of daily life from day one. This creates the foundation for stable, confident dogs that are ready for a life in your home.
Selection of the puppies' parents?
"Breeding is not about increasing numbers, but about improving the breed."
How do we select the perfect match? It starts with a critical look at our own dogs. With over 35 years of experience in the canine world, we have a trained eye for quality.
We travel throughout Europe for shows, where we see the finest representatives of the breed. However, to us, a beautiful dog is of no value without a clean medical record and a golden temperament. Our breeding dogs must meet the strict requirements of the KMSH and the breed association. We select parent dogs that are healthy, free of hereditary defects, and possess the stable, proud character that makes the Shiba Inu so unique.
Work done with the puppies?
Our Socialization: A Foundation for Life
A stable Shiba Inu starts with the breeder. Because our puppies spend their first 8 weeks in our living room, they are exposed daily to the stimuli of modern family life. We actively socialize our puppies on:
Household Sounds: The vacuum cleaner, television, washing machine, doorbell, and dropping objects. They learn that these are normal and not frightening.
People & Children: We invite visitors so the puppies get used to different people, voices, and hands. They are frequently picked up and cuddled.
Other Dogs: The puppies grow up with their mother and are introduced to our other adult dogs. This teaches them "dog language" and how to respect boundaries.
Grooming & Handling: We practice handling from an early age: checking teeth, clipping nails, and brushing.
Surfaces: They get used to various textures such as tiles, carpet, grass, and sand in the garden.
